40 Violations And a 45- Have A Nice Day

it has come to light that the "mentally ill" pakistani man who shot up the jewish center in seattle not only was overdue for a sentence on a conviction of indecent exposure, he was also stopped by the police about 30 minutes before his shooting spree for a traffic violation. no, i don't expect that the police should have noticed his state of mind, or any such nonsense. but i do kind of wish they had taken note of his 40 outstanding traffic violations and done SOMETHING with him. yes, i said 40 violations. i know people who have had to wait on the side of the road in the rain for a ride while their car was impounded and towed for, like, 2 outstanding tickets. so 40? wow.

oh, and by the way, he was somehow allowed to buy a 45 (handgun) too. for some reason this has reopened the gun debate- because clearly cracking down on mentally ill guys with criminal records will do anything to stop criminals from buying illegal weapons on the street. anyway, they are talking about tougher laws and stricter screening and longer waiting periods for those who want to purchase a handgun. what do i think?

i think if more of us law-abiding citizens had some law-enforcing guns, someone could have taken that guy down before he got off more than one shot. or stopped him before even the first shot was fired. i think, as i usually do in response to gun crimes by wackos against innocent people, that we should have more guns in the hands of competent individuals, not less.

want to stop crime in your neighborhood? give me a granny with a gun over an ACLU pacifist any day. want to make the criminals think twice? put a handgun in every diaper bag and a pistol in every make-up case. the new soccer mom needs an uzi in her SUV. that's justice the blogblond way.

Land For Pieces

i have a new plan for israel, based on the informed and insightful callers i have heard on talk radio this past week. i think every time an arab lobs a missile into israel, the israelis should kill one israeli family and give their house to an arab terrorist.

why wait for world pressure to be brought to bear? just cut to the chase and speed up the destruction of the occupying oppressive regime that is the scourge of the middle east. just today, in fact, i heard a lebanese man in america railing about how lebanon is the only viable democracy in the region, and he is surprised that america does not recognize this and come to their aid to decimate israel. one pacifist suggested that, in the name of peace, israel should get out of arab land, and that would stop provoking the arabs into attacking innocent israeli civilians in non-military towns. when asked where they should start, he replied knowingly, "gaza". uh...ummm... think we've been there, done that, and the arabs don't seem happier to me.

every time the media talks about the "cycle of violence", implying that israel is an equal partner in the havoc that is the middle east, i think they should go to an israeli preschool and just gun down all the "future zionists". end the cycle sooner rather than later. perhaps their lunch money could be sent to the arab kids in camp learning how to be suicide bombers. buy them new soccer balls, or something.

for every discussion of what the israelis could do to further suck up to the arabs, there should be one building of jews plowed under so the arabs will have a nice flat surface to launch more rockets and missiles into israel. it is obvious that although the arabs have like 86 gazillion miles worth of land to occupy and do whatever they want on, that is not enough, and they clearly need the mile and a half or so that still belongs to israel. i say, give it to them. why deprive them of what they so passionately want and are so clearly entitled to?

let's just cut the b.s. about anyone caring about truth or fairness or righteousness in the world and declare a new deal: land for pieces. the more israelis they can blow up into little bits and shred with shrapnel and mutilate to death, the more land they will get.

after all, it's all israel's fault for existing in the first place.
